Cheat Engine

Cheat Engine , usually abbreviated CE , is open-source software that modifies programs (generally used for games) as desired, whether to gain more points, more lives, more energy, or other abilities that may vary depending on the game and the user. It is a hex editor and debugger capable of reading and writing to memory. It is widely used to cheat in computer games and can be used to set the game's difficulty. It can be recompiled to avoid detection by the target. ^[ 1 ]

Some antivirus programs mistakenly detect it as a virus, so it is best, in some cases, to disable the antivirus before installing or running Cheat Engine. ^[ 2 ]
